Outreach Event at Delhi, India:

 

Our team member, Aadit, had volunteered during his visit to Delhi to host an outreach event at the ‘Sadhu Sunder Singh Welfare Society, Bal Vihar Children’s Home’. It was a girls’ orphanage, a great service provided to budding young minds with a tragic past. The event held was attended by 28 orphan girls of age 12-15. Aadit sparked the flame of their interest in robotics, beginning by showing them videos of past FRC competitions and events. Together with the girls, they built a DIY robot that ran on 2 motors. After giving a memorable explanation of STEM and working of FIRST robotics in Hindi, he bid them farewell, having effectively accomplished our teams desire of spreading knowledge of FIRST and STEM to children around the world.
