Competition Release and Arrival of Kit of Parts: 

 

The day we had all been waiting for had arrived! Or rather, the night, due to our Eastern time difference. From our team members scattered across the globe, from Australia to Dubai, we all tuned in, no matter the time, to watch the live stream from FIRST and the release of the competition from FRC. The robots displayed were out of this world! The ‘Star Wars’ theme was enjoyed by several of us! And the functions of the robot that must be accomplished - the climbing and balancing on a beam and the shooting of balls, great tasks, fun to design as they are fun to observe! We couldn’t wait to return to school to discuss the competition in detail as the Build Season had finally arrived! 

 

The great day had finally arrived! Being a first-time rookie team, we were entitled to not only a kit of parts, but several extra robotic components we had ordered from Andy Mark, FRC’s official platform to purchase tools and components for the robot. After five days of decisions and design, we had the tools to make our robot. 

At last, the build season had begun for us!
