App Builder Event:

 

Four members of our team dedicated their Sunday before the finals to further boosting our outreach base - Keertana, Aryaman, Aarushi, and Aditya. 7 Children and one parent attended an app building (thunkable) workshop at The Tanamera Condominium. Keeping up with the MOH guidelines to take all temperatures of those in groups, our team spoke of our creation and our aim - to raise awareness about STEM and get more and more children involved and enthusiastic about the sciences and robotics. Not only this, but we described our robot’s journey as the build weeks came to a close, and spoke of FRC and FIRST as a whole. 

Sparking the interest of the young children, our team explained the formation of a stopwatch app on Thunkable app building base. Despite having no prior experience in block programming or app building, all children had working stopwatch apps by the end of the session! Maintaining the spirit of gracious professionalism, through the sharing of 4 available computers across 7 children, our team succeeded in their hospitality through the various refreshments provided through the session. With a newfound eagerness in robotics and programming within the children, our team had once again propelled ourselves closer to our ultimate goal.
